Meet Alexda, a bright and courageous 7-year-old girl from Esmereldas, Ecuador. Born with severe clubfoot in both feet, Alexda had endured multiple failed casting attempts and surgeries, leaving her family feeling hopeless. Determined to find a solution, Alexda’s immediate family relocated to Guayaquil, sacrificing comfort and familiarity to be closer to our hospital. Their unwavering dedication paid off when Project Perfect World helped her receive corrective surgery on both of her feet in May 2024.

As Alexda underwent life-changing surgery, her extended family traveled 12 hours to support her in-person, demonstrating the power of love and community. Some even slept outside the hospital, refusing to leave Alexda’s side. Thanks to the expertise, compassion, and collaboration of Project Perfect World’s volunteer physicians and nurses, Alexda is now on the path to a pain-free, active childhood. Her story is a testament to the impact of our work and the resilience of the families we serve. With your support, we can continue to transform lives like Alexda’s, one surgery at a time.
